Daan can be found caring for the townspeople when not playing as him, and he is often polite and even caring towards the other contestants, indicating he has a compassionate side to him. However, he is happy to help others when the need arises, such as when he offers to mix drinks for contestants in PRHVL Bop. He is fairly independent, quickly setting off on his own to investigate Prehevil.

Unfortunately, his attempts to save her were unsuccessful.ĭaan was heartbroken and felt complete despair as he tried to find a reason why they all died - which is when he found a couple mentions of a town called Prehevil. Out of desperation, Daan attempted to resurrect his fiancée by sacrificing his left eye in a ritual. Occult had completely took over the manor and they had sacrificed themselves in order to please the old gods with this ritual. After the Kingdom of Rondon withdrew from the war, he rushed back to his home only to find everyone deceased in the basement including his fiancée Elise and Baron Eihner Von Dutch. Letters from home kept his sanity intact but soon, the letters stopped appearing. He chose to be a medic/infantry troop and many unspeakable things had happened during this dark period. But this was during the time when the conflict between the Eastern Union and the Bremen Empire had dragged neighbouring countries into their war and the kingdom enlisted all able-bodied men to fight and this included Daan. In Daan's adulthood, he became an item with Elise and the baron gave his blessings. Although he would never have an official doctor's diploma, Daan would become able to give medical aid due to this apprenticeship. In exchange for his knowledge on Sylvian, Eihner, a doctor himself, would teach him about the modern ways of medical practice. The Baron was interested in the cult and how Sylvian's gift of healing worked when he learned about Daan's upbringings. They both would talk about his childhood and the madness brought from his cult parents. Over time, he became acquainted with the baron's daughter Elise. Daan started to work for the Baron Eihner Von Dutch learning to appreciate the finer things in life and also learning good manners. Daan at the age of 13 could either try to find some honest work or become a pickpocket but would eventually lead up to him becoming an apprentice of a butler. One day, his parents never came back after spending too much time in the meadows and succumbed to the ritual. They even tried to pass the healing gift of Sylvian to him.
Daan hated his life because his parents would be more focused on the religion rather than caring for him. They were followers of Sylvian, the Bunnymasks, and he would see them putting on the rabbit mask while naked and headed to the meadows with others. When he was a toddler, he travelled Europa with his parents. It is not known where he is born initially.
